UPDATE on a Theban Tragedy

April 14, 2014 at 6:12 pm (Icepick)

Several months after I was PROMISED, one more time, that everything had been fixed, things aren’t fixed. I cannot believe … My frustration levels are really climbing. I have been trying to get this fixed for YEARS. YEARS! And they will not fix it.

I am starting to think of hiring an attorney to sue their goddamned dumb, evil asses for emotional distress. John Morgan is here in town, and he’s as scary a lawyer as you can find in the country. Yeah, maybe that’s what I need to do….

I have a really, really good excuse for not wishing birthdays to two amazing people(s). It does not involve a dog- or a cow.
I ran out of mgs– or megahtzs or whatever i need to run the internet… & i forgot:0(.

SooooOOooo… HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Amba & ICE… which sounds like a most delicious combination to get loopy on, eh? I hope you both had fantastic days and i pray this year is bounteous in Blessings!

the Amba to calm you down, and the Ice to get you wired!

And thanks for the b-day wishes. Mostly I don’t care these days, but the daughter is getting old enough to car, so I cared. Cake! And a new car! (Don’t get too excited, it’s a Hot Wheels car, but still!)

And… AND! I got to shampoo the rugs and the upholstery yesterday. Don’t laugh, it was a high point of the week for me, and this was the best birthday I’d had in years.

Today, though., has been confounding. My idiot neighbor’s trial was supposed to start today. But he seems to have gone on the lamb. Bail has been revoked and warrants issued. I’m guessing that the felony battery charge he picked up about three weeks back added to his decision making. Nothing like beating up the mother of your children to relieve stress, or so they say. (Yes, the they in question are all bastards.) Menawhile, the $3000 plus in unpaid court fees and fines have caught up with the female idiot neighbor, who has had her license suspended. Two failure’s to pay toll. Dumb, especially since it was probably HIM doing the driving.

And their foreclosure proceeds apace. Today a Notice of Publication was filed with the court. They won’t be there much longer. In fact, they haven’t been there hardly at all recently. They only show up once every so many days to give the dogs food and water. (Yes, they got the dogs back AFTER the court fined them $2,004 which they haven’t paid, and found the dogs were dangerous. The laws in Florida regarding dangerous dogs are a joke. Basically, until the dogs kill somebody the owners will keep getting them back. Even if they don’t pay the fines.)

And then the insurance issue. A very confounding day. But yesterday? That was a great pleasure!

take your pick!! Hey- if they lose the place(which i do feel badly over) the dogs go, too!

I’m headed to bed- but, i remembered that i had forgotten and i just had to let you know that you and amba are thought of and prayed for:0)

So, so glad the day was a blessing.

I don’t at all feel bad about them losing the place. They’ve been bad neighbors – not merely annoying, but dangerous to the rest of us. Good riddance. (I’m not a very charitable soul, I’m afraid.)

So, does Florida’s Stand Your Ground law allow you to turn the dogs loose if you even feel threatened? If so, that would explain the willingness to turn the dogs back to the owner unless they were actually used in a homocide….

  6. Icepick said,

No idea, wj, but that wouldn’t have applied in these cases, as they just let the dogs run loose. In two of the three incidents they weren’t even home.

Also, I can tell you that if I defended myself against the dogs I would be facing animal cruelty charges UNLESS I got bit first.

Think I’ll hire this guy to be my attorney in this matter. He looks like someone who could get things done.

Maybe the Morgan man will Pro Bono to take on Disney?
Maybe you could write a letter to the editor about the incompetence of this company and how long you have been trying to get this fixed.

Maybe… you should show up- get an appointment with the CEO- and explain to him/her why you would be a much better candidate for the job of the person who keeps screwing up the situation!!

I really don’t want a lawsuit. I just want them to do their jobs properly. If that is too much to ask, THEN I will retain the firm of Kong, Godzilla & Rodan and let them do their thing.

I’m sure the cows love you, and listen to you, too. They just don’t respond the way we do. ;-)
