Of course, the “Presidents Day” name is, itself, a lie. Created because the South (via their members of Congress) refused to allow a holiday which included Lincoln explicitly. So they couldn’t just consolidate the birthday holidays for Washington and Lincoln (which most of the country already had) — who were the only ones who were both a) born in February, and b) Presidents that people were really interested in commemorating.
