How did Hollywood miss this?
Why didn’t John Wayne ever play Richard Wagner in a movie? “Listen up, Wotan…”
Part of a new series: Things Ron Wonders About (TRWA)

— So, Professor!!
After i googled Richard Wagner(pronounced Vahg-ner)- i still have never heard of him:0). I especially like his AKA =
Richard Wagner.
“As a young boy, Wagner attended school in Dresden, Germany. He did not show aptitude in music and, in fact, his teacher said he would “torture the piano in a most abominable fashion.” Heh.
“I believe in God, Mozart and Beethoven, and likewise their disciples and apostles; – I believe in the Holy Spirit and the truth of the one, indivisible Art; – I believe that this Art proceeds from God, and lives within the hearts of all illumined men; – I believe that he who once has bathed in the sublime delights of this high Art, is consecrate to Her for ever, and never can deny Her; – I believe that through Art all men are saved.”
― Richard Wagner
I wonder how this would sound in Wayne twang?
I wonder what he’d have thought of ~Piss Christ~?
I wonder why there is no ~h~ in Wayne?
I just had a conversation about May 22nd b-days not over an hr ago. His makes the 3rd b-day on the 22nd i know:0).
I think the above quote is slightly blasphemous, btw.

Karen, go to 3:07 or so… you’ll hear that you’ve known of Richard Wagner all along… perhaps just not his name.
So… what’s more John Wayneish? Ride of the Valkyries ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V92OBNsQgxU or Flying Dutchman ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqezCR_XzaI )?

Because the resemblance was only when both were old men. Based on the portraits of him as a young man Richard Wagner looked a bit like Robert Vaughn.
