Ranting, elsewhere.
I don’t really want to post about politics here. But that’s okay because I have other places I can rant. Faced with the day’s absurdities I have written a post over there. If you’re looking to see what’s got me steamed you can look at it there.

Even before i go “over there”- i will use “here” to say:
YIPEEeeEeE!
I think it was Ace that had a couple of videos on politics that i like– esp the trailer of the film coming out ~Hating Brietbart~. Ok- going on over…

Oh, but you forget the Letterman appearance for whatever **Top 10** Dave is into(how to be better at foreign policy than Obama?)- or the Ellen appearance coming up w/Michelel O and cute little children– that looked to be fit and otherwise not obese.
Or, how about that Vegas trip that couldn’t be cancelled while our Ambassador’s body is not yet cold- or maybe the fact that- there were briefings telling of unrest that Obama failed to even attend- ’cause, you know– our president is running for re-elec-tion?
Competence illustrated.
Chicago teachers wearing Che shirts, too. Just sayin’.

Karen, I couldn’t possibly fit it all in.
And _you_ forgot that Obama is going to meet with the Muslim Brotherhood next week (who represent ally/not ally Egypt). He slipped them in AFTER the last minute, which is when he scheduled Letterman over Bibi, who represents our ally Israel. And oh by the way Bibi wants to talk about the likely impending war with Iran. Obama, as Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, should have at least been willing to talk to Netanyahu in order to try and stop a war, yes? Instead of talking to Letterman about whatever bullshit they’re going to talk about? Or instead of inviting the Muslim Brotherhood over here so he can bow to them and apologize to them that we didn’t let them kill our ambassador in Egypt too? (Or whatever useless goddamned thing he is going to do to bend over for those assholes, and have the rest of us bend over for them too? Or perhaps he just wants someone new to play a round of golf with.)
There’s no possible way I could fir it all in. I just got done cleaning up the kitchen, I’m sure some other outrage has been perpetrated since last I checked the news. One person just can’t keep up at times like these.

The latest is that as part of the investigation into the death of the US Ambassador to Libya the Department of Justice is now going after … wait for it … wait for it … the guy that made the film!
No shit, they’re advertizing who he is, where he lives, and they’re focusing on him instead of the followers of the “religion of peace” who committed the murder. Un-fucking-believable. Absolutely un-fucking-believable.
This cannot possibly be reality. Reality cannot possibly be this fucking retarded. What the Hell happened to our freedom of speech and freedom of the press? What happened to the right to not be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process? WHO THE FUCK’S SIDE ARE THEY ON?!

Damn, your rage is a fine thing tonight:0).
Somehow- it is making me feel better.

All I can say is [sigh], reality is ‘this fucking retarded’. Sometimes I feel like I’m in upside-down land. And the media all seem upside down, too. And so I think: Is it I who is upside down? Or am I right-side up and somehow got off on the wrong planet?? :-(

And if I hear one more reference to ‘attacks sparked by anti-Muslim video’ I’m going to scream! Are people this fucking stupid or are they just being disingenuous??

Could well be both.
And the wrong planet explanation seems as good as any I offered.

Today they have gone too far. They torched a KFC in Lebanon. How dare they attack our commercial icons!
…
Joke from commenter on Yahoo!: I guess they will only be serving “extra crispy” at this location now.
…
And in the Sudan the anti-American protestors are reportedly burning down … the GERMAN Embassy. Which of course brings this to mind.
…
I mean, they’re bringing out the SERIOUS stoopid now. Add to this a Presidential election, a desperate Federal Reserve Board (yesterday’s actions were a clearly a sign that they’ve got no clue what to do except try to debase the currency), and we’re having almost as much fun as possible. All we need now is a plague of locusts and frogs falling from the sky and we’d have some Old Testament-type action going on!

I love the smell of ranting in the morning. It smells like….victory!

Victory for who, mockturtle?!
…
The latest: according to the White House, these “protests” are NOT directed at the USA. So apparently they’re just laying seige to US embassies (including our embassy in London(!)) and trying to kill Americans and chanting “Death to America” again because of some dipshit YouTube video. I guess if you’re Muslim you’re too fucking stoopid to know the difference between YouTube and the United States of America. Why does this not make me feel better?

They’ve evacuated college campuses in North Dakota, Illinois and Texas due to terror threats. In Texas they’ve apparently left a small nuclear reactor unattended on the UT campus. Meanwhile the TSA is frisking people going to Romney campaign stops, and searching their baseball caps. What the Hell, they’ve tried to make bombs out of shoes and underwear, why not out of a Red Sox cap?
The world, she is a wacky place….

Transgendered and confused… the world.
I’ve seen some pretty silly shit on line today about the handling of this entire mess. My fave- along w/your rant:
Krauthammer.
I really like that guy.
It’s his calm demeanor- while really saying sharp, concise(that word looks all wrong, but no squiqqle)(hah- squiggle on squiggle)- i think i need a drink:0)! Concise info.
Victory in the fact that some people care about the facts- Truth to power and all that.

Victory for who, mockturtle?!
Oh, it’s just a line from an old movie, ‘Apocalypse Now’, where Robert Duvall says, I love the smell of napalm in the morning. It smells like…victory.
Let’s just say it made my morning, Ice. It’s so refreshing to see some outrage at the bullshit that pervades our world today. Thanks.

I recognized the line, but I was merely confused. Outrage tends to burn out one’s perception after a while. Which is why I’m off to the Funny Farm.

There’s a Chevy Chase movie called ~The Funny Farm~. NYT’s writer relocates and retires tot he country(a lot like where i live)to write a book.
It was pretty funny, too.

I think i’m depressed about the state of affairs in the Country due to the President’s reactions to the guy who made a shitty movie that puts down islam, etc.
If this kind of treatment be so approved– Madonna should be locked up and sued for all she’s worth for her anit-Christian bullshit= as of now. NOW. Instead, i saw her w/a fake Obama tattoo across her lower back.
Yeahyeah– it’s not what you know…
