Apparently– ~where two or more refuse to gather in Nothing’s name~… or, something like that …
Hey, i survived the trip to Scranton. I am so thankful that i went because the college(Marian)(IHM)is so beautiful and i think it was a miracle of Divine Intervention that my son chose this place over a much closer college. I’m very proud of him:0).
I’m also thankful that i wasn’t driving because it was so scary– i appreciate our dirt roads so much more, now! Even when riddled w/potholes. And, my time w/the ex was buffered by a friend of my son’s who went down w/us. God is good;0).
The snow cone was a non-event for us – basically just a few days of rain, which is par for the course in Florida in Summer. It did mean the Daughter Unit didn’t get to go out and play for a few days, which meant playing indoors with other children, which led to a minor cold which led to a few MORE days of the Daughter Unit not getting to play outside which mean that we desperately needed a three day weekend. Score!
As for the convention – didn’t watch any of it until the last night. Had it on through Clint’s weird speech and Romney’s acceptance speech. I didn’t listen to either closely, and still don’t care. I hope to miss all of this week’s convention. I’ll probably watch the debates, but don’t really care much. Politicians lying at me? Bleeeh….
I likey the crack, but do wish our President was a man i could value more. It’s still an honesty/arrogance issue, but- really- what do i know? The ~woman’s issues~ issues piss me off, too. I’m no feminist.
We got a lot of rain last night and our barn flooded- due to the unfinished(barely started)addition on our barn. The local news just barely says 6.10 inches:0). The barn was really no big deal- luckily. We opened a door at the end of the barn- and it all rolled out and into our manure pit. It took about two hours to clean up- but, it was ok. We moved our calves up onto the tread planks &– into the manger. We started around four this a.m.and were milking by 10past6.

Karen, here’s a crack you will enjoy.
Last week, Obama was mocked with one empty chair. Tomorrow night he will be mocked by 74,000 empty chairs.

The crack was by me, but I would like to thank Chauncey Goodrich Parker III for teaching me to pay attention to the little details.
