I found a tiny skunk once and hand fed “her”- WHO KNOWS WHAT IT WAS– WE NAMED HER rUBY- (ooops- did it again:0))- until she got caught in the door and squirted a tad. It’s illegal to keep a wild animal in VT- even a skunk- and my husband let her go in a swampy area. If i think about it, i’ll get teary, because she sqeaked(sp) & cried when she lost sight of us outside, but she could find a grub on her own, so hopefully she didn’t end up as owl bait.
