Photographic History

Take a gander at these B&W photos of some cars of yesteryear and then read “the rest of the story” under the fold.

They’re models. So are the buildings. Details and more examples of Michael Paul Smith’s impressive modeling and photo work can be found on his Flickr photostream.

(I planned to post this great photo of Smith looking at his work here under the fold, but the “gallery” feature uploaded it to the main page and gave away the secret.)

WHOA!!! Unbelievable. To the point that his God-sized head is what looks out of place. Amazing, Randy, thank you!

Aren’t they (and isn’t he?)? I’m not sure I put up the best – just pulled a few some time ago and finally got around to posting them. The detail how the diner was made (somewhere in the series) was fascinating.

No way! These are absolutely incredible. I’d swear that I was looking at actual vintage photographs.
