I had a cat who used to return “serves” of a paper ball with such athletic prowess that I called it “Darwin’s Origin of Tennis.” Here it’s Origin of Bobsledding.
Reminds me of one of my favorite cat quotes. We gave a rescued kitten to a friend in Romania who’d never been close to a cat before, only seen them walking intently and indifferently by on their feline errands. After a few days we asked her how it was going, and she said, “This is not a cat. It is a cross between a dog and a monkey.”
One of our cats also seemed to have mixed origins. While appearing to be a feline, she was also part dog and part jackaloupe. Clearly SOMEONE has mastered genetic enginieering….
