I love this. I was thrilled as a small child to be shown how to make the cantering
horse hand/knee claps that transported me to somewhere between riding a horse
and being one, and later to learn of the early radio sound effects tricks, like crinkling
cellophane for a cozy background fireplace crackle. And then there’s the old
movie crowd scenes murmur: Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb…
